Exceptional coffee begins with exceptional farmers. Penamer works closely with traditional smallholder producers across Kenya and Ethiopia, many of whom are women farmers and mothers who sustain local agricultural communities.

In the coffee-growing hills of Kangundo, Penamer partners with farmers such as Mama Mutheu, whose family has cultivated Arabica coffee for generations.

Through our direct sourcing program, farmers gain access to fair-market premiums, sustainable farming support, and international buyers. This creates more stable household income, supports education, strengthens local cooperatives, and helps preserve East Africa’s coffee-growing heritage.
